Newsagent's Wire PostersThe headline screamers that sit on the pavement outside newsagents have been Australian institutions for 100 years. They often sum up a story in a few words. When it comes to sexual issues they have a special place. This small selection is quite representative of the various styles. Predictably, the Murdoch papers tend to specialise in the absurd. The Sydney Morning Herald headline is also absurd but then the subject matter of a Prime Minister staggering around a foreign hotel lobby without any pants on, is pretty silly to start with.
